Platform Statement

I am running for Homer Town Board because I believe in open, transparent government. Our town’s decisions should be made in the open, with the community fully informed and able to participate.

As a Town Board member, I will push that we follow all New York State Open Meeting Laws — not just the letter, but the spirit.

That means:

• Making meeting agendas and materials available to the public well before meetings.

• Sharing drafts of proposed laws and policies once they are discussed or referenced in public.

• Ensuring recordings of meetings are posted promptly and in full.

The current board has made some improvements in public access, but we can do better. I will push for clearer communication, greater accountability, and a commitment to transparency that goes beyond the minimum required by law.

Our community deserves a board that works with the public, not behind closed doors.
